I love sweets! Who doesn’t? But I also love my body, and so the struggle between choosing to satisfy my sweet tooth, and being kind to my body is real. So lets talk cookies for a minute. Do I need to sacrifice taste for health? No way! Flourless, sugar free oatmeal cookies is the answer to all my sweet tooth needs. They are so simple to make, taste delicious and are gluten and dairy free. So here is the finished product.
Here are the ingredients to this delightful treat.
2 cups rolled oats
2 ripe bananas(mashed)
1/3 cup applesauce (Preferably home made) I will add that recipe as well. Super
easy to make.
1/2 cup raisins. (I used golden raisins)
1 teaspoon almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.
Mix in oats, bananas, applesauce, almond milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a large bowl until everything is mixed evenly and then use a tablespoon to place on a baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes and place on a rack to cool. Now grab a cup of coffee or tea, find a comfy spot and enjoy the guilt free snack.
2 Large apples
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 cup water
Add all the ingredients into a saucepan, and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. As soon as the apples are soft enough to crush, take the pan off the heat and mash the apples with a potato masher. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes and you are all done. Homemade applesauce, good for a snack or to use in the above cookie recipe.
